Dhela Tourism Zone
Opened to visitors in 2014, the Dhela Tourism Zone is one of the newest additions to Jim Corbett National Park and has quickly become a favorite among wildlife lovers. Known for its rich biodiversity, Dhela attracts tourists throughout the year, many of whom also enjoy night stays inside the forest. The zone offers morning and evening jeep safaris, with a limited number of 15 vehicles allowed in each slot. Timings vary by season, ensuring visitors experience the best of nature at different times of the year. One of Dhela’s biggest advantages is that it remains open all year round, making it an ideal destination for spotting both common and endangered species.
Night Stay
For those who wish to immerse themselves in the wilderness, the Dhela Zone offers the unique option of staying overnight inside the forest. The government has built Forest Rest Houses (FRH) deep in the zone, allowing visitors to experience nature at its closest. Staying overnight here offers a peaceful retreat and the chance to witness the park’s nocturnal life. Indian citizens must book their night stay at least 45 days in advance, while foreign visitors are required to reserve 90 days prior.
