About Elephant Safari in Corbett

Exploring Jim Corbett on an elephant safari is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Visitors are taken through the Dhikala/Bijrani Zone on majestic elephants, giving them an authentic feel of jungle life. This safari lasts for about 2 hours and offers an unmatched chance to connect with nature.

Unlike jeep safaris, riding on elephants allows you to move silently through forests and grasslands, getting closer to animals without disturbing them. It is a unique way to encounter wildlife, especially elephants, deer, and bird species, while admiring the vast landscape of Corbett.

Currently, elephant safaris are available only for tourists with night stay permits at Dhikala or Bijrani Forest Rest Houses. This ensures the conservation of wildlife and a controlled visitor experience.
